A Vicksburg woman was killed early Friday in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 20 near Bovina.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Tashekia L. Scott, 28, was killed when her 2017 Toyota Camry left the roadway and overturned. Scott, who was reportedly not wearing her seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle as it overturned and died as a result of her injuries.

Troopers reported the accident happened just after 2 a.m. on I-20 westbound near Bovina. This accident remains under investigation and fatigue is considered to have been a factor.
