Nash fundraiser rescheduled

While COVID-19 has been affecting the way people live, cancer has also affected Bexlee-Kay Nash’s life.
Diagnosed in November, the two-year-old has been suffering from high-risk stage IV neuroblastoma, a rare cancer usually found in young children.
Bexlee-Kay’s parents Brittany and Joey Nash have been by their daughter’s side as she has been undergoing treatment.
Some treatments include intense chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy.
To aid in the medical expenses the young family has incurred, a fundraiser that had been scheduled in March has now been re-scheduled for May 31 at the City Park Pavilion from 2 to 6 p.m.
“We will still be selling barbeque chicken plates for $10,” organizer Dawn Lee said, and all tickets that had already been sold for the earlier event will be honored.
Lee said the event would include music and entertainment for children.
“The McAlister Brothers and Hunter Lynch will be performing and there will be games for kids,” Lee said.
As part of the fundraiser, a silent auction will also be held.
Tickets are available at the event or by calling 601-642-4272.
The City Park Pavilion is located at 100 Army Navy Dr.

When asked what I like most about my job, my answer is always ‘the people.’
