State officials announce third death connected to COVID-19 virus

JACKSON — The Mississippi State Department of Health announced Wednesday afternoon that a third person in Mississippi has now died from the COVID-19 virus. Earlier Wednesday announced the second death.
The case was a male 65-70 years old from Webster County with underlying health conditions. He died while hospitalized.
Currently, Mississippi has reported 377 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with previous deaths reported in Hancock and Holmes counties.
