The Mississippi State Department of Health Friday announced the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases jumped 181 and now total 1,358. The number of virus-related deaths in the state is now 29.
In Warren County, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases remains at two, but that number is likely to rise after more testing is conducted.
The statewide shelter-in-place order issued Wednesday by Gov. Tate Reeves will go into effect Friday at 5 p.m. Also going into effect at 5 p.m. is a series of additional restrictions announced Thursday by Vicksburg and Warren County officials.
The local orders, which include additional restrictions on businesses and closures, including the county-controlled Cedar Creek Golf Course, also include a city-wide juvenile curfew that lasts from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. each day. This is in addition to another city-wide curfew, for all other residents, that goes from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day.
