By Reservation Only is a novel by Barbara Edwards. Award-winning Chef Nathan Harte has worked long and hard to restore his property in Willow Spring, Vermont. Now, the Deerbourne Inn is finally ready for its grand opening. He’s ready to greet his guests with fine cuisine, comfortable rooms, and maybe even a ghost or two. He has also experienced a run of bad luck and hard times. Just as he is putting his life back together, Teddie comes home and they both must confront the pain of the past in order to move forward.

Teacher Gilda Greco has to contend with a whole lot of guilt in A Different Kind of Reunion by Joanne Guidoccio. Gilda missed an email from a former student — Sarah McHenry — has turned up dead. Now, Guilda is kicking herself because she thinks she could have prevented Sarah’s murder. Constable Leo Mulligan plays on her guilt to enlist help in finding the culprit before he/she kills again. Along with Canada’s best-known psychic and six of Sarah’s friends, Gilda agrees to a séance to find out what happened. When they all get together, however, old rivalries and grudges rear their ugly heads. Naturally, the séance is a bust, but Gilda doesn’t give up and decides to investigate for herself, but will her snooping put others in danger including herself?

Laylah Abrams paints a portrait of love on the American frontier in A Fair Trade. Jack Briggs has been content to live off the land, but lately he has been yearning for a place to put down roots. When he meets the Findleys, he is taken with the wife Penelope almost immediately. She is the prettiest woman he has ever seen, and he wants nothing more than to make her his. Penelope, on the other hand, won’t have anything to do with Jack as long as she is married, but that changes when her husband dies suddenly along the trail. Jack offers Penelope a deal—pretend to marry him so that she will have protection and he can take advantage of the free land given to married couples. At least, that is what they tell each other.

Captured by Chocolate is a novel by Steena Holmes. Radio DJ Dylan Morgan and photojournalist Casey Michaels have been in a long-term, long-distance relationship for years.
