By Reservation Only is a novel by Barbara Edwards. Award-winning Chef Nathan Harte has worked long and hard to restore his property in Willow Spring, Vermont. He has also experienced a run of bad luck and hard times. Just as he is putting his life back together, Teddie comes home and they both must confront the pain of the past in order to move forward.
Teacher Gilda Greco has to contend with a whole lot of guilt in A Different Kind of Reunion by Joanne Guidoccio. Gilda missed an email from a former student — Sarah McHenry — has turned up dead. Now, Guilda is kicking herself because she thinks she could have prevented Sarah’s murder. Constable Leo Mulligan plays on her guilt to enlist help in finding the culprit before he/she kills again. Along with Canada’s best-known psychic and six of Sarah’s friends, Gilda agrees to a séance to find out what happened. When they all get together, however, old rivalries and grudges rear their ugly heads. Naturally, the séance is a bust, but Gilda doesn’t give up and decides to investigate for herself, but will her snooping put others in danger including herself?
