Crime reports: YMCA storage units burglarized, shots fired into parked car

Rory Warnock, 56, of Vicksburg, was taken into custody Wednesday by the Vicksburg Police Department on one count of uttering a forgery from an incident that occurred in March 2019.
He appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court Wednesday before Judge Penny Lawson and received a $5,000 bond. Warnock was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
In other reports:
• Mac McKinley Cox, 24, of Vicksburg, was arrested on Tuesday on charges for domestic violence, discharging a firearm in the city limits and curfew violation. Wednesday, Judge Penny Lawson set his bond at $2,500 in Vicksburg Municipal Court.
• On Monday, at 7:34 a.m., officers responded to the Purks YMCA, 267 YMCA Place, for the burglary of some storage units. Two generators, 300 feet of copper wire and a number of power tools were taken.
• On Monday, at 9:14 a.m., officers responded to Tri-State Tire on Washington Street. The complainant reported that two U-Haul trailers were taken over the weekend.
• On Monday, at 10:26 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the 1200 block of Mulvihill Street. No evidence of shots fired in the area was recovered.
• On Monday, at 11 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Bellvue Street in reference to a theft. The victim reported someone had broken into his shed outside and took a weed eater and a gas-powered pole saw.
• On Monday, at 12:14 p.m., officers responded to George Carr Motors, 2950 South Frontage Road, for an attempted auto theft. The complainant reported someone had attempted to steal a white 1980 Chevrolet Corvette.
• On Monday, at 6:57 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of First East and Adams Street in reference to shots fired. No suspicious activity was noted, and evidence of shots being fired was found
• On Monday, at 8:16 p.m, officers responded to Patton Street for a report of shots fired. Witnesses identified a suspect vehicle and the officers recovered three spent shell casings from the street.
• On Monday, at 8:22 p.m., officers responded to the 900 block of Meadow Street for a report of shots fired. An officer found a red Nissan Altima with several bullet holes in the passenger side of the vehicle and 15 shell casings on the ground near the vehicle.
