Crime reports: Vicksburg Police report two felony arrests

The Vicksburg Police Department reported two felony arrests Monday, one involving a suspect they had classified as armed and dangerous.
Friday, officers arrested Omar Carter, 18, of Vicksburg, who was wanted for his role in the April 9 shooting at New Main Apartments.
Carter was charged with one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling and two counts of shooting in an unoccupied vehicle.
He was arrested at his home on Wisconsin Avenue Friday.
Carter appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Monda, where his bond was set at $250,000 and he was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
The second felony arrest reported was of Antonio Strong, 31 of Vicksburg, who was arrested Saturday at a local hotel by officers responding to a trespassing call.
The officers noticed a handgun in the hotel room and discovered that it had been reported stolen. Strong was also in possession of 7.5 grams of cocaine and 20 Xanax pills.
Strong appeared before Judge Carpenter Monday on one count of possession of a stolen firearm, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of possession of cocaine. He was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury on a $100,000 bond.

• On Friday, at 11:43 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of McAuley Drive in reference to shots fired. No evidence of shots being fired was found.
• On Saturday, at 10:47 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Singing Hills Road in reference to shots fired. No evidence of shots being fired was found.
• On Saturday, at 6:58 p.m., officers responded to the area of McAuley Drive in reference to shots fired. No evidence of shots being fired was found.
