Flaggs expected to announce civil emergency changes Sunday

Mayor George Flaggs Jr. has scheduled a press conference Sunday afternoon to provide an update to the city’s “ongoing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
The press conference, which is set for 2 p.m., will be restricted to credentialed media and will be broadcast live on The Vicksburg Post’s Facebook page live.
Flaggs is also expected to announce what parts of the city’s civil emergency declaration and shelter-in-place order will be extended and for how long. The current order is set to expire Monday at 8 a.m.
