Warren County’s cases have doubled in less than a week

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Warren County now stands at 50 after the Mississippi State Department of Health Monday announced three new cases in the county.
In a week, the number of cases in the county has doubled.
Overall, the number of cases in the state grew by 183 overnight, giving the state now more than 6,000 confirmed cases. The actual count is 6,094.
The number of virus-related deaths in the state grew by two, now totaling 229 since the outbreak began.
In Warren County, the number of virus-related deaths remains at two.
In Claiborne County, the number of cases moved to 19. In Yazoo County, the number of cases has increased to 126.
Sharkey County now has five confirmed cases, while Issaquena County continues to be the only county in the state to not report a confirmed case.
As of Sunday, the number of cases in Madison Parish stood at seven.
The state has yet to start reporting the number of people who have recovered from the virus.
