Number of COVID-19 cases in Warren County continues steep climb

The number of confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus in Warren County continued its steep climb Wednesday as seven more cases were reported.
In the latest report by the Mississippi State Department of Health, there are now 65 confirmed cases in Warren County. That report again shows the number of cases in the county more than doubling in a week. Last Wednesday, the number of confirmed cases in Warren County was 29.
The number of cases statewide increased by 227 to 6,569 overall. The number of virus-related deaths in the state now stands at 250.
In Claiborne County, the number of confirmed cases increased to 20, while the number in Sharkey County remained at five.
The number of confirmed cases in Hinds County moved to 450 overnight with seven virus-related deaths.
Issaquena County remains the only county in the state to not report a positive case thus far.
In Madison Parish, the number of confirmed cases as of Tuesday stood at seven.
