State: Number of new COVID-19 cases, and those who have recovered, grows

The Mississippi State Department of Health announced Wednesday the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Warren County now stands at 90 after two more cases were reported.
Statewide, the number of total cases reported during this pandemic increased by 217 to 8,424. Tuesday, state officials reported of the total number of cases reported thus far, 4,421 should now be considered “presumed recovered.”
Tuesday’s report also showed 32 new virus-related deaths in the state, bringing the total number to 375 who have died since the pandemic began in mid-March.
