Good news in reported COVID-19 cases for Warren County

For the first time since early on in the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, Warren County has gone back-to-back days without reporting any additional new cases.
The last time Warren County went two days in a row without reporting new cases was when the county went three days without reporting a case from April 12 through April 14.
Monday, the Mississippi State Department of Health reported the number of cases in Warren County remained at 133. And, using the guidelines from the state, of those 133 cases, only 48 of those should be considered active cases.
Statewide, 136 new cases were reported overnight, bringing the overall pandemic number in Mississippi to 11,432. But, the state also reported Monday, that of those confirmed cases, 7,681 should now be considered “presumed recovered.”
Seven new virus-related deaths were reported in the state, bringing the pandemic total to 528. Warren County has reported a total of four virus-related deaths.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Yazoo County stands at 190, with both Claiborne County (49) and Sharkey (6) reporting the same numbers as they did Sunday.
Louisiana health officials reported 24 confirmed cases in Madison Parish.
