A vehicle stolen from downtown Vicksburg Monday was found and returned to its owner later in the same day.

According to a report from the Vicksburg Police Department, officers responded to the 1300 block of Washington Street in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim reported someone stole a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado.

Using assistance from On-Star, police located the vehicle at Walmart and made contact with a 17-year-old male who was placed into custody and transported to the police station.

Another juvenile male fled the scene.
