The Mississippi Gaming Commission shut down all of the state’s casinos — including the four in Vicksburg — beginning March 16. They were allowed to reopen May 21.
Also Monday, Mayor George Flaggs Jr. said he had received a certified letter from Ameristar Casio saying it planned to lay off 150 employees in August.
