The 1990 Vicksburg Gators had little difficulty dispatching the 1937 Carr Central Greenies in round one of the Greatest on the Gridiron tournament, earning a 54-21 victory.

In real life, the ‘90 Gators earned the program’s first-ever win over Warren Central on the way to the MHSAA Class 5A semifinals. They’ll have to beat Warren Central again to get to the next round of the Greatest on the Gridiron tournament.

The 1974 Warren Central Vikings took care of their predecessors from a year earlier, 42-11, in round one. The team that went undefeated on the way to winning the Red Carpet Bowl and Little Dixie Conference championships will now attempt to avenge the defeat of their successors from a generation later and stake their claim as the best ever.
