The Vicksburg Police Department confirmed Friday afternoon that a mother and daughter reported missing have been located and are safe.

The department announced Erica Adams, 23, who was reported missing with her daughter, Amerykah, 2, contacted investigators and verified that both she and her daughter were safe.

The two were reported missing to the Vicksburg Police Department by family members, having last been seen leaving Bluecreek Drive Saturday.
