The Vicksburg Police Department is searching for a juvenile in connection to a shooting incident Tuesday evening on First East and Adams Street.

According to a release from the department, officers responded to the area at 5:37 p.m. in reference to a shooting. A victim reported a male subject — the juvenile — shot three rounds at his vehicle, striking the front driver’s side tire and the lower driver side door.

The juvenile has been identified and is being sought, but since the suspect is a juvenile, the name of the suspect has not been released.

• On Tuesday, at 3:23 p.m., a citizen reported at the police station that a handgun had been stolen from her vehicle. The vehicle, a 2012 Toyota Camry, was parked on Smokey Lane when the 9mm Jimenez pistol was taken from the center console.
