A Vicksburg man faces a charge of receiving and possession of stolen property after his arrest at Love’s Truck Stop, 700 Ceres Blvd., Saturday.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said James N. Thomas, 42, is accused of driving a Ford F-350 pickup truck that was reported stolen Saturday morning in Vicksburg.
Thomas was being held without bail in the Warren County Jail pending an initial appearance in Warren County Justice Court.
According to sheriff’s office reports, an off-duty Vicksburg police officer saw the truck taking the Flowers exit on Interstate 20 about 1 p.m. He followed it to the truck stop and called Vicksburg-Warren 911 with the information.
About 10 minutes later, sheriff’s deputies arrived at Love’s, found the truck in the parking lot, took Thomas into custody and notified Vicksburg police investigators.
