Nearly a month after a shooting at LD’s on Mulberry Street injured three people and eventually resulted in the death of one Vicksburg man, the suspect remains on the loose.

James Earl Winters, 29, is the suspect wanted in connection to the Oct. 6 shooting at the downtown restaurant and lounge that led to the death of Wade Carter Jr.

In a release Friday, officials are again asking the public’s help. Anyone with any information on Winters’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Vicksburg Police Department at 601-636-2511 or Crime Stoppers at 800-355-8477 (800-355-TIPS).
