Merit Health Medical Group in Vicksburg is proud to welcome a new addition to its medical staff, Dr. James
Stanford, ENT.

Stanford joins Merit Health from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he recently completed his residency in Otolaryngology and Communicative Sciences and where he also earlier received his Doctor of Medicine.

When asked why he chose general surgery, Stanford stated, “I was initially attracted to ENT as an early medical student while studying the intricate anatomy of the head and neck. Later, I found that I enjoy the wide variety
of pathology in ENT, and I enjoy the ability to treat patients of all ages.”

Stanford and his wife, Virginia, have three children, James, age 6; Blake age 4 and Peter, 20 months. Stanford is now accepting patients and his office is located in the Merit Health Medical Group building at 2200 Highway 61 North, Suite 2300, Vicksburg (601-883-3320).
