Smoke from a distant fire …

What is burning? I have heard that question a million times this week. The horizon has been shrouded in a grayish haze for a least a week if not two. Checking in with all my weather news sources I read that this smoke isn’t from wildfires in Mississippi or across the river in Louisiana, it is in fact from the lingering wildfires that are plaguing Canada.
Not only is this smoke messing up our view of the river etc it could “mess” with your health. People with COPD, asthma, and other respiratory ailments could experience flare-ups due to the reduced air quality. So if you have respiratory ailments it is recommended that you stay inside as much as possible.
The smoke from the Canadian wildfires should be moving East and hopefully out of the state by the end of this week and air quality should improve as it goes.
