Thelma Williams Donerson

Funeral services for Thelma Williams Donerson are to be held on Saturday, Dec. 16 in the chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home at 3 p.m. with Reverend John Henry Williams officiating; interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 6 p.m.
Thelma Williams Donerson went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 9 in the Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 95.
Thelma Donerson was born Dec. 4 1928 in Vicksburg to Natlee Kelly and Frank Williams, Jr.
Thelma accepted Christ and was baptized at Mt. Olive M. B. Church.
After having relocated her family to Michigan and moving back to Vicksburg, she joined Christian Home Church which was founded by her great-grandfather Rev. Marshall Kelly.
She had recently attended Mt. Pilgrim M.B. Church Hwy 61 S. until her health began to fail.
Thelma sold Avon for over 40 years winning numerous “top Sales” awards. She loved her many customers who became like family.
Thelma loved fishing, gardening, sewing, canning and growing beautiful flowers. She even tried horseback riding. She learned to crochet, knit and quilt.
As a member of the home extension program at the Warren County Courthouse. Many of her items were entered at the state fair where she won many awards.
Thelma was preceded in death by her mother Natlee Kelly Williams and father Frank Williams, Jr; her brother Henry Donerson, III; sons Ronald and Donald Donerson, Percy Grady and Robert “Bill” Donerson; daughter Patricia Donerson Maniece, grandson Swain Jackson and a great-granddaughter Marche Wilburn.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children Mary Donerson Gaines of Vicksburg, Larry Donerson, Sr, her daughter in law Claudia Ellen Donerson and Joyce Donerson; her siblings Evelyn Crockett, Charles Williams, Herbert Williams and Frank Williams, III; her grandchildren, Tiffney Donerson Dotson, Tashia Donerson Wilburn, Richard Gaines, Monica Gaines, McGill, Sylvester Haymond, Jr., Myron Maniece, Dan Maniece, Kevin Maniece, Dr. Makita Donerson Gillespie, Larry Donerson, Jr., Cristy Donerson, DeAnna Donerson Thigpen and 28 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
