Funeral services for Irene Harris are to be held on Saturday, Dec. 23, in the King of Kings Worship Center at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Pat Taylor officiating.

Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 22, in the funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m.

Irene Harris passed away on Dec. 11, 2023,  in the St Dominic Hospital following a brief illness. She was 66.

She had worked for the Vicksburg Convalescent Home and was a member of the Cool Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Square Harris Sr. and Addie B. Rogers; her siblings, Square Harris, Jr., Moses Sprouse, Barbara Jean Baldwin, Charles Harris, Ira Parker, Mary Wilson, Louwanda Miles and Danny Taylor; her daughter, Elisa Harris-Dillon; and four grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Roosevelt Harris III; daughters, Minerva Harris, Bessie Harris and Sabrina Harris: sisters, Margaret Rankin, Queen Rogers, Ayesha Davis, Rodena Gilmore, Frankie Williams, Mary Parker, Wilma Anderson, Flora Parker and Dorothy Williams; brothers, Earnest Rogers, Robert Rogers, Norh Taylor, Elijah Parker, John Taylor, Mack Charles Taylor, Curtis Parker, Robert Parker, Mike Thomas and James Tribble; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
