Mary Alice Hill

Mary Alice Hill, a Chicago native, passed away Sat., Jan. 20, following a brief illness. She was 97.

She was a homemaker and member of Liberty Temple Baptist Church in Chicago, where she was also a mother of the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Denie Sessums Dodd and her husband.

She is survived by her three sons, Lionel Hill Jr. and Sammy Hill, both of Chicago, and Dennis Spencer of Beloit, Wis.; five daughters, JoAnne Cooks of Minneapolis, Betty Chatman of Indianapolis, Lionette Washington of Minneapolis, Jeanette Hill of Schaumberg, Ill., and Aliesia Thomas of Vicksburg; 56 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Chicago at a date to be announced.
