Crossway Church of Vicksburg is preparing for WinShape Camp this summer and a recent fundraiser has brought the congregation closer to its goal.
“A huge thank you to everyone that came out for our WinShape Fundraising Lunch,” church officials posted this week on social media. “We had a great time together and the fundraiser was a success, raising over $1,500 towards the WinShape Scholarship Fund!”
WinShape Camps for Communities is a day camp held at Crossway’s Vicksburg location at 1825 US Hwy-61 that uses both the church’s indoor and outdoor spaces to bring the atmosphere of a summer day camp to children in Vicksburg and the surrounding communities.
This year’s camp is scheduled to be held June 3-7 from 8:15 a.m. until 4:55 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and Friday 8:15 until 11:30 a.m.
Registration for this year’s camp gets underway Monday at 9 a.m.
This year’s registration includes: first 48 hours (March 4, at 9 a.m. – March 6, at 9 a.m.) $100 off every camper; first 50 campers registered receive a free Chick-fil-A lunch for the week of camp; first 25 campers receive a free Village t-shirt on the first day of camp.
Crossway is also in need of volunteers for this year’s camp and is looking for those 16 and older with an interest in giving back to his or her community. Volunteer registration will open soon, church officials said.
Sponsorship packets are also available for those looking to aid the camp’s ministry.
“Your support allows us to make a greater impact on the kids in our community,” reads the official WinShape Camp website. “Sponsorships start at $50 – but every amount helps! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kelli Lafferty, WinShape Sponsorship Coordinator, at 601-636-2596, or by emailing winshapevicksburg@gmail.com.”
