Each year, The Vicksburg Post selects the top local athletes in a number of sports for its All-County teams. Fifteen players were selected for the 2023 girls’ All-County soccer team, led by Player of the Year Gloria Hall of Warren Central.
Hall, a senior, is the Player of the Year for the second time. She also won it as a freshman in 2021. This season she had 14 goals and 10 assists to lead Warren Central to the MHSAA Region 2-6A championship and the Class 6A semifinals. The Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College signee finished her high school career with 64 goals.
Warren Central girls coach Jeremy Lawrence was also selected as the Co-Coach of the Year, along with WC boys’ coach Greg Head.
The other All-County players represented their schools — Vicksburg, Warren Central and St. Aloysius — well. Congratulations to all of them!
