J.C. Williams was high gun in the practice shoot. • Mrs. Ernest Rollison was chosen president of the Jett School PTA. • Capt. S.S. Cole, who once was in charge of the National Cemetery in Vicksburg, died in Nicholasville, Ky.

The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. successfully opened a store in Vicksburg. • Minnie Allen died. • L.S. Bowers and Doris Childress were married.

Howard Cunningham died. • Dr. George Martin joined the staff of Mercy Hospital. • Mrs. W.H. Parsons and her daughter were spending the Easter holidays in Virginia. • H.C. DeCell was a patient at the Vicksburg Infirmary.
