South Alabama football player Reed Buys, a Warren Central alum, was named to the the 2024 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. The honor is given to college football players who maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.

Buys, an offensive lineman, played in 12 games last season to help South Alabama to a 7-6 record that included a victory over Eastern Michigan in the 68 Ventures Bowl.
