David Jones, the head coach of the Port Gibson Titans youth football team, was named the Jackson Freedom League’s Coach of the Year for the second season in a row.

The Titans have three teams in age groups ranging from 5 to 12 years old. All three teams won their age division championship at the JFL’s Freedom Bowl X in October 2023. The B- and C-Teams — the age 9-10- and 5-8-year-olds, respectively, reached the league’s championship game for the fifth year in a row, and the C-Team had a perfect 7-0 record.
