Warren Central senior Adria Burrell won the 200 meters and finished second in the 100 in the 17-18-year-olds’ women’s division at the AAU Region 11 Qualifier Saturday in Hammond, La.

Burrell clocked a winning time of 24.99 seconds in the 200 meters, and 12.01 seconds in the 100. She was competing for the Olympus Bound track club.

Burrell is a rising senior at Warren Central who won the MHSAA Class 6A championship in the 200 meters and finished second in the 100 meters at this year’s state meet.

Burrell qualified for the AAU National Junior Olympics, which begin July 28 in Des Moines, Iowa.
