A Vicksburg man is facing a slew of charges after Vicksburg police say he shot two women early Sunday morning before leading officers on a brief pursuit.

Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) officials said 28-year-old Donyea Lyons was charged with aggravated domestic violence, aggravated assault, felony eluding and possession of a firearm by a felon after he allegedly shot his girlfriend and her sister around 2 a.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of Drummond Street.

VPD said Lyons then led officers on a vehicle pursuit before being taken into custody.
