Teresa Murphy and Mildred Murphy departed from Brown’s Well. • W.D. Quinn, manager of Farley’s, was seriously ill at the Infirmary. • Mr. and Mrs. P.C. Canizaro and relatives left by auto for Hot Springs, Ark.

Laura Collier and James Buchanan Jr. were married in Alexandra, Va. • A.D. Lum was visiting relatives in Natchez. • Col. M.J. Mulvihill Sr., of the 155th Infantry, Mississippi National Guard, left for Camp Beauregard, La.

Mr. and Mrs. C.T. Carley and their sons returned from a vacation in Gulfport. • Sara Ethell, of Birmingham, Ala., was visiting Lydia Faulk. • R.E. Selby was a patient at Mercy Hospital.

Keith Wright was named the 1974 recipient of the coveted Bill Stewart Memorial Award. • Airman First Class Wadell S. Turner Jr. graduated from Keelser AFB’s Air Training Command’s Course for Electronic Specialists. • Mrs. Albert M. Bonelli returned after a cruise in the Caribbean Sea.

A beer company based in St, Louis supplied 22,000 unmarked cans of drinking water for the residents of Edwards while they awaited the restoration of their water line. • Mary B. Walker, Nathan Clark and Louis Hall Sr., history teachers in Vicksburg, attended the American Studies Seminar at Mississippi College. • Melvin Galenski Guice enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.
