Community members joined faculty and students of Vicksburg Catholic School Tuesday night in a prayer service in memory of recent St. Aloysius High School graduate Korey Sims Jr.

Sims, 18, was killed Sunday night in a shooting that also injured three others at a residence on Abraham Drive.

Tuesday morning, 18-year-old Tavon Cain made his initial appearance in a Warren County courtroom, where he was charged with first degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault in the shooting that claimed Sims’s life. Cain was denied bond by Judge Marcie Southerland.
