A bit of offensive pressure and a late strike in the waning moments of the match allowed St. Aloysius’ soccer team to salvage its road trip to Natchez.
Lynlee McMillin scored with less than two minutes remaining to tie the game, and St. Al finished with a 1-1 draw against Adams County Christian School on Wednesday.
ACCS scored early in the first half, and it took St. Al (2-1-1) until the very end to get the equalizer.
Reese Lyons played the ball back toward the ACCS net, and Elle Larson pressured the keeper. The ball came free to McMillin, who knocked it in for the tying goal.
St. Al keeper Sara Smith finished with six saves.
The Lady Flashes will play six of their next seven matches at home during a run that will last through mid-September. It starts Aug. 19 against Manchester at 5:30 p.m., and Aug. 20 vs. ACCS at 5 p.m.
