Warren Central’s junior varsity volleyball team got on the floor and swept it clean on Saturday.

The Lady Vikes hosted Pearl, Franklin County and Riverside in a three-way round robin tournament and won all three matches.

Warren Central beat Pearl 2-1 (25-23, 21-25, 15-8); Franklin County 2-0 (25-11, 25-13); and Riverside 2-0 (25-19, 25-15).

Mari Kynlea Ferguson, Kennedy Smith and Kylie Hearn all served multiple aces and attacked the net to lead the way.

The Lady Vikes will be play two JV-varsity doubleheaders next week, Aug. 19 against Jackson Prep and Aug. 22 against Vicksburg in the MHSAA Region 2-6A opener. Both matches are at Warren Central and begin at 5:15 p.m.

Warren Central’s varsity team will also go to Pearl for a tournament on Aug. 24.
