As Vicksburg Main Street hosted Destination Downtown this week during its 40th year as a program, Executive Director Kim Hopkins said it was only fitting that Thursday night’s party at The Watermark Vicksburg had a 1984 theme.
Living it up in all the color and excessive hairspray that came along with the year, members of Main Street programs from Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas dressed the part while vying to win costume contests and dancing to the hits of the 1980s, performed by the band Alter Ego.
Destination Downtown 2024 wrapped up this year’s events Friday.
