The Tora! Tora! Tora! Airshow team stopped at the Vicksburg Municipal Airport Friday. The team was refueling on its way to the Columbus Air Force Base Airshow this weekend to perform.

Denise Walker is the narrator for the team.

“We reenact the attack on Pearl Harbor. We have Hollywood pyrotechnics and then we have narration,” she said. “And we tie it all together into a little history lesson.”

The six aircraft that comprise the team are T-6 Texans that have been heavily modified to look like Japanese Zeros. The aircraft were actually used in the 1970 film “Tora! Tora! Tora!” about the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

The show put on by the airshow team has been performed for more than 52 years.

“We are the longest running civilian airshow act to date,” Walker said.
