No Warren County players were selected for the Bernard Blackwell Classic Mississippi all-star game Dec. 21 in Gulfport. For the first time, however, a fan vote will be held to add one player to both the North and South rosters.
Individual players can be nominated and voted on through Oct. 31 at gethattiesburgnews.com/fanspoll and the winners will be announced Nov. 4.
The fan vote contest will also include polls to recognize teams and bands. The winning teams will get $1,000 and be invited to the Bernard Blackwell Classic. The winning back will be invited to perform at halftime.
