Saturday’s 10th annual Spooky Sprint 5K may not have featured temps as cool as racers were hoping for when they signed up for this year’s fundraiser for Vicksburg Catholic School, but that didn’t keep a crowd from taking part in the annual event.
While those not taking part in the run/walk kept themselves busy with a Halloween carnival and haunted house, 5K participants kept things interesting, donning costumes, grouping up for the walking portion of the race and even bringing pets along for company.
Will Bates finished first in this year’s 5K run, followed by Wesley Varner in second place and Bailey Dickerson in third.
Ronald Roma finished first in this year’s 5K walk, followed by Terrie Foster in second place and Stephen Pranger in third.
