A weekly recap of performances by college football players from Vicksburg-area high schools:

• Nicholls defensive back Laurence Sullivan (Vicksburg High) had two interceptions and two tackles in a 51-7 win over Southern University.

• Southern University kicker Joshua Griffin (Warren Central) made his only PAT attempt and had one touchback on two kickoffs in the loss to Nicholls.

• Alabama State kicker Brandon Gilliam (Warren Central) was 2-for-5 on field goal attempts and 1-for-1 on PATs in a 28-13 loss to Florida A&M. Gilliam connected of field goals of 23 and 38 yards, but missed from 43, 35 and 37.

• South Alabama offensive lineman Reed Buys (Warren Central) started at right guard and helped the Jaguars finish with 453 total yards in an 18-16 loss to Arkansas State.

• Bluefield University offensive lineman Jehari Riley (Vicksburg High) started at tackle and helped the Rams rushed for 159 yards as a team in a 20-7 victory against Union Commonwealth.

• Edmonton Elks linebacker Nick Anderson (Vicksburg High) had seven tackles and one sack in the CFL team’s 27-24 loss to Saskatchewan.
