Ann Dewees Morris was presented The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution’s Community Service Award in recognition of her “Excellence in Community Service” for many years of dedicated service to the Vicksburg Community at the Chapter’s Sept. 7 meeting. Over the years, Morris has served the Vicksburg community in a variety of areas including her service to Ashmead Chapter NSDAR, Crawford Street United Methodist Church, Merit Health River Region Hospital Auxiliary, Vicksburg Convention and Visitor’s Board, and the Miss Mississippi Pageant.
