The Vicksburg Warren School District Athletic Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 was inducted Thursday during a ceremony at the Ardis T. Williams City Auditorium.

The six new members of the Hall of Fame are Michael Carter (Warren Central baseball/basketball/football); Dale Erves (Warren Central football/track); Larry Erves (Warren Central basketball); Reginald Harris (Vicksburg High baseball/football); Mark Smith (Vicksburg basketball/football); and Emma Lee Wilson (Culkin Academy basketball).

Wilson’s children Ray and Tully Wilson, and Tressa Myrick represented her at the ceremony.

The VWSD Athletic Hall of Fame was started in 2016, and 61 athletes and coaches have been selected since then. Nominations are accepted from the public, and the final list of inductees is selected by a committee.

This year’s group will also be recognized during Friday’s Vicksburg vs. Warren Central football game. The game will begin at 7 p.m. at Vicksburg High’s Memorial Stadium. Tickets are available through GoFan.co.
