Port Gibson Titans win two
The Port Gibson Titans youth football team won two of its three games against the Fayette Bobcats at the Backyard Brawl event Oct. 19.

The Titans’ C-Team (5-8-year-olds) won 20-14. Antwan Reed Jr. and Aiden Lucas scored touchdowns for the Titans.

The Titans’ B-Team (9-10-year-olds) beat the Bobcats 14-0 Kingston Neal and Sidney Ryals each scored a touchdown.

The Bobcats won the A-Team (11-12-year-olds) game 24-0.

WC Night of Champions
Warren Central will host the Viking Football Night of Champions on Friday, Oct. 25, during the home game against Neshoba Central. The event is a celebration of 60 years of Warren Central football, and all former players, managers and coaches are invited to attend. There is a $20 registration fee that will benefit the football program.

The event will include a tailgate and social hour at 5 p.m.; pregame recognition and a group photo at 6:40; and recognition of the 1970s Little Dixie Conference and 1988 and 1994 MHSAA Class 5A state championship teams at halftime.

Halloween Pickleball Tournament
The Society of Women Engineers will host its Halloween Pickleball Tournament fundraiser on Oct. 26 at 8 a.m. at Halls Ferry Park.

Players are encouraged to wear costumes, and prizes will be awarded to the best ones. The entry fee is $40 per person, or $50 on the day of the tournament. All proceeds will go to the Mississippi River Section of the Society of Women Engineers and will support the group’s community outreach programs.

Reindeer Run 5K
Registration is now open for the sixth annual Reindeer Run 5K. The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at 8 a.m. at Catfish Row Art Park on Levee Street, and is a fundraiser for Paws Rescue.

Runners and walkers are invited to bring their pets along for the fun. Postrace events include a pet parade, reindeer games for the kids and adult beverages.

The registration fee is 435 for the 5K run and walk before Nov. 23, and $15 for the Reindeer Dash children’s 1-mile fun run. If you’d rather skip the run but get the T-shirt and support Paws Rescue, that option is available for $25.
