St. Aloysius’ Flashettes dance team won big at the MAIS Spirit Competition Wednesday in Flowood, bringing home one junior high and two varsity state championships.

The Flashettes won in the small varsity kick and pom divisions. It’s the 10th year in a row they’ve won a state title. The small school division includes squads with between 5 and 11 members.

St. Al’s Junior High Flashettes also won first place in the small junior high kick division. It was the junior high team’s first state championship.

St. Al’s varsity Flashettes are Raigen Smith, Megan Theriot, Elizabeth Bednar, Olivia Larson, Ryan Hadley Grey, Hayden Bell, Farrell Roberson, Marley Gibellino and Caroline Ponder. The team is coached by Chesley Lambiotte.

The junior high team is coached by Vera Ann Fedell. Team members are Luella Lambiotte, Elaina Wilbanks, Kelci Bingham, Madie Raines, Lynlee McMillin, Addyson Hardaway, Blakely Farrell and Raeya Patel.
