Louisiana State Police (LSP) is investigating a shooting that killed one person Thursday in Tallulah.

According to information from LSP, the shooting took place in the 200 block of Thomas Street.

“Thursday, at approximately 6:40 p.m., Louisiana State Police/CID/Detectives-Monroe Field Office (LSP MFO) were requested by the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office (MPSO) to investigate a homicide that occurred inside the city limits of Tallulah,” Ryan Davis with LSP’s Public Affairs Section said. “LSP MFO will serve as the lead investigating agency, with MPSO assisting. The investigation remains active and ongoing. No further information is available at this time.”

LSP said anyone with information and/or pictures and video is urged to share that information with LSP detectives.
