Trey Hall, a Mississippi Gulf Coast running back and Warren Central alum, rushed for 95 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-14 victory over Hinds on Thursday.
Hall scored on runs of 21, 3 and 63 yards as the Bulldogs scored 49 unanswered points to earn a share of the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference South Division championship for the sixth consecutive season. Gulf Coast (8-1, 5-1 MACCC South) will go on the road for the first round of the state playoffs next weekend.
For the season, Hall has rushed for 961 yards and 12 touchdowns in nine games, and is averaging 7.4 yards per carry. He has also caught 15 passes for 117 yards and one touchdown. He ranks second in the MACCC in both rushing yards and touchdowns.
