ELECTION 2024: Warren County absentee voting down from 2020 presidential election

Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson reported that as of Monday, Nov. 4, the Statewide Election Management System reported a total of 209,037 absentee ballots had been requested in the state.
The requested total reflects the number of Mississippi voters who have requested an absentee ballot through their local Circuit Clerk’s office.
County Circuit Clerk’s offices have sent out 208,886 absentee ballots and 197,903 completed absentee ballots have been received in the state for the 2024 November General Election. The sent total reflects the number of absentee ballots sent to voters from Circuit Clerk offices. The received total reflects the number of completed absentee ballots returned to Circuit Clerk offices.
As of Monday, Nov. 4, the Warren County Circuit Clerk’s office had 3,170 absentee ballot requests and had sent 3,170 absentee ballots. They have received 3,039 ballots back, leaving 131 yet to be returned.
These numbers are less than Warren County’s absentee numbers for the 2020 presidential election.
The in-person absentee voting deadline was Saturday, Nov. 2. All mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, Nov. 5.

Mississippians who have requested an absentee ballot may track their ballot using the My Election Day ballot tracker. Watson said the resolution board could begin processing absentee ballots at 7 a.m. on Election Day when the polls open. County election officials can tabulate ballots at the closing of the polls on Election Day at 7 p.m.
