Vicksburg (4-1) bounced back from a buzzer-beater loss to Holmes County Central two days earlier. It will be back in action Tuesday, Nov. 19, at home against Florence.

Kelsie Mangum scored 14 points, and Alayah Bolden and Kanssa Baker had 12 each as Brandon (3-1) defeated Warren Central (0-4). Brandon put the game away early by outscoring the Lady Vikes 27-4 in the first quarter.

Arrionna Jenkins led Warren Central with five points.

Briarfield 41, Porter’s Chapel 33
Briarfield Academy held Porter’s Chapel Academy to single-digit point totals in each of the first three quarters, and surged ahead in the second and third periods on its way to a victory Thursday.

Briarfield’s Ainsley Keene scored 13 of her 14 points in the middle two periods, when the Lady Rebels outscored PCA 29-17.

Gracen Thornton added nine points for Briarfield and Ella Claire Payne scored eight.
