South Alabama offensive lineman Reed Buys, a Warren Central alum, was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference football team as an honorable mention selection.

Buys started 10 games at right guard for the Jaguars this season, and appeared in 11. Buys was a veteran leader on an offense that finished fourth in the Sun Belt in rushing at 193.0 yards per game. Their 5.6 yards per rush led the conference, as did their 30 rushing touchdowns.

South Alabama (6-6) played three games this year in which its offensive line did not allow a sack, and allowed only 17 in 12 games.
