McCloud and Gleese score 30 each as St. Al tops Tri-County

St. Aloysius’ boys basketball team closed out 2024 on a resoundingly high note.

Anthony McCloud and Carson Gleese scored 30 points apiece as the Flashes beat Tri-County 78-70 on Friday.

McCloud added 10 rebounds to finish with a double-double, and Gleese had four rebounds and four assists.

Sadler Lambiotte added six points for the Flashes (9-4), while Carson Henderson and Laken Bradley scored five each.

St. Al played its final game for this calendar year. It will take three weeks off for the holiday break, and then return to action on Jan. 3 in the Catholic School Tournament at Greenville-St. Joseph.

In Friday’s junior high game, Tri-County beat St. Al 45-19. John Hossley led St. Al with seven points and Dru Gleese scored five.

Tri-County 28, St. Aloysius 20
Tri-County grinded out a low-scoring win over St. Aloysius (6-7) in the girls’ half of Friday’s varsity doubleheader.

Megan Theriot led St. Al with 12 points and seven rebounds, and Farrell Roberson grabbed 11 rebounds. Four players scored two points each.
